1.Registration:

Just a reminder that event preference selection closes this Thursday at 9:00 am pst.Most of you have already gone in and picked your preferences but we still have a few teams that have not made a selection yet.FIRST should be notifying teams of the event they are placed in on Friday.

If you end up on the wait list for your second event, you should hear from me next week letting you know the likelihood of getting into your event so you can decide if you want to stay on the waitlist or move to another event.

3. Robot Rewind

There is still some space available for Robot Rewind and they are looking for volunteers!

Hosted by CHUCK Team 2147 is coming soon. The off-season event is a chance to play FIRST Destination: Deep Space again on the PNW District’s competition field.

Where:West Valley High School -Spokane, WA- Centrally located within driving distance for teams in East/West Washington, Idaho, Montana, and maybe even Western Canada (“EH”).

When:November 2^nd2019

Registration Fee:$250 first robot, $50 for second robot, (Rookie Teams $0)

4. Volunteer Needs

Our FLL events are now up on FIRST’s site and ready for people to sign up.

Consider this:

·In Washington, we have over 650 FLL teams (that is just WA, not OR which I’m sure has as many teams)

·Each event requires approximately 55 volunteers (for a 1 day commitment)

·Oregon hosts 26 events over the first 2 weekends in December

·Washington hosts 24 events over the first 2 weekends in December

·That means there are OVER 2700 volunteer rolls that need to be filled over those two weekends!!!

·We are in need of both student and adult volunteers, but we especially need adult judges! (20-30 per event approximately)
