Message from our Wapato Kickoff Coordinator
My name is Randy Wheeler and I am a mentor from team Robo Sparks2926, Wapato High School in Wapato,Washington. I wanted to send the following message to you to let you know that we are hostingthe Kick-off in central WashingtonJanuary 3rdand 4thand would like to invite you to what we hope will be an inexpensive overnight excursion here at Wapato High School with food, fun, and friends for the low cost of $10 per person.
As I type this our team is working on a multitude of events and food for you to enjoy as we prepare for the game this year. We are preparing a teriyaki meal for Friday night along with movies, games (mostly video) and team competitions. On Saturday, Kick-off morning, we will provide breakfast and the KICKOFF for this year’s game. After the presentation we will have workshops like a strategy session, KoP inventory session, and others along with the KoP distribution.
As for Friday night sleeping arrangements, we will be staying overnight in the high school with the girls crashing in the engineering lab and the boys will be crashing in the library. Students will need to bring bedding and toiletries.
As I stated before we are wanting to make this a low cost excursion for your teams and an opportunity to have team building and camaraderie within and between teams. If you would like to join us please contact me at randyw@wapatosd.org to let us know how many people will be joining us for this festivities.
2. Third Play Registration
The PNW District is in a situation where 2 of our events need just a few more teams to register to compete in them.

If there are teams who are interested in doing a 3rdplay but the $1000 registration fee is prohibiting you from registering, FIRST Washington will work with you to get a grant to cover the registration fee. It’s our way to encourage team play!

If you are interested in attending either of these workshops, please take a moment and RSVP.The host teams work very hard to put on these workshops to support all of you.It is difficult for them to plan when they don’t know how many teams are attending, the gracious thing to do is to let them know.
