Greetings FIRST LEGO League Jr Coaches! Welcome to BOOMTOWN BUILD!

  If you are new to this email this is the place where you will find all of the Washington specific  FIRST  LEGO League Jr information. Coaches and team administrators in the  FIRST  system for the BOOMTOWN BUILD season will be added weekly. Starting this season, every email from me will be numbered. That number lets you know which update it is, if you miss an update you  can find it on our website .

New Expos Added!

A new Expo in Auburn was just added. It will be held on 3/28/20 at Auburn High School in Auburn. Details TBD!

A new Expo in Spokane was just added. It will be held on 5/9/20 at West Valley High School in Spokane. Details below!

Inland Northwest Robotics Expo

Come see how Robotics programs inspire students K-12 to meet science and technology

challenges, develop teamwork, practice professionalism and HAVE FUN doing it!

FLL Jr teams will set up on tables along the window wall of the WVHS cafeteria space. There are a total of 4 program spaces in the large area, FLL JR, FLL, MINDS-i, and FRC.

FLL Jr participants will have the following schedule and afterwards will be able to watch and participate in the other program activities.

10:30 Teams arrive and set up

11:00 – 12:00 Reviewers visit with teams; other visitors visit with team members

12:15 FLL Jr Recognitions

Teams can bring their own lunch or purchase hotdogs in the courtyard.

Expo Invoices

Teams that have filled out an Expo Registration should have received an invoice. They are sent to the Team Admin or the Main Coach if there is no Team Admin listed. The fee is $50.

Expo Registration

Expo registration is open now. Expo registration is first come first serve, and I will be closing registration for individual events when they fill up. To register for an Expo-   http://bit.ly/regflljr 

Once you register, you’ll receive an invoice about two weeks before to pay the event registration fee of $50.

Team Name Changes

If your team has changed their name on their dashboard and it is not reflected on the registration list, please fill out this form so I can update it. I will update names the week before the Expo, so do not panic if the website still lists the incorrect name. No names will be changed the week of the Expo’s.

FIRST LEGO League Jumpstart

Interested in moving to FIRST LEGO League next season? Consider Jumpstart!

Teams who are looking transition for the 2020 season may register their FIRST LEGO League team now and have that registration carry over to the new season in May! You can choose from one of the past challenges to get you started. Your team will need a LEGO EV3 or LEGO SPIKE PRIME robot kit to use with these missions. Offer expires on February 21  For more information or to register .
