• Volunteers and teachers make it happen, and we make it easy for you with step-by-step instructions, and all the resources and support you need to succeed.Here’s how you get started:
  • Learn more about FIRST® LEGO® League Jr., our Core Values, and the Challenge
  • Assign at least two adult mentors dedicated to guiding the students in discovery and innovation
  • Gather up to six team members grades K-4 and find a suitable place to meet

Start the two-level registration process with national FIRST® registration on the national FIRST site, registration for FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. opens in May. Your national FIRST® registration fee pays for challenge and basic team materials. To ensure our youth are safe, all program volunteers, coaches, and mentors must be screened as part of the FIRST® Youth Protection Program.

Team Registration Fee: $114 per season

If you are a new team, registering for the first time, you will also need to purchase a LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 Core Set, which can be done during the registration process.

LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 Core Set Fee: $204

All teams register with both national FIRST® and FIRST® Washington. FIRST® Washington registration covers delivery of the program, support for coaches and mentors, and events. After the registration is completed, you will receive communication regarding FIRST events!

You will need to invite students and parents to support your team efforts! Build your team to reflect the school and community around you, we encourage this to create an inclusive FIRST community! Check your new team portal to order materials, utilize FIRST resources, and monitor event details.
