FIRST Washington Event Safety Standards for Volunteers
Hello FIRST Washington Volunteers,
The health and safety of our First Washington Community is our primary concern. To ensure safety, First Washington will implement the following requirements for all in-person events during the 2021-2022 season:
- Alladult volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by October 18th,
- Masks will be mandatory for all event volunteers, participants, and attendees, regardless of vaccination status.
For those who are not vaccinated, we will offer remote volunteer opportunities to ensure you can remain involved!
We will host a Zoom meeting Tuesday, September 14th at 7:00pm to provide more details and get feedback from all of you.
We will provide further detailed safety guidelines in the coming weeks as we continue to assess the changing climate of the COVID-19 pandemic. Check out our homepage for updates!
The work that you do is critical to creating engaging and meaningful experiences for the kids who participate in First Washington programs. Whether they are returning team members or first-time participants, we must do all we can to continue empowering young people to become passionate innovators of STEM. Your cooperation is helping build events that are safe and inclusive for all.
We thank you for your continued commitment and welcome any comments or concerns!
