Thanks to GeekWire for hosting FIRST Washington teams at United Way’s 2022 Community BBQ! Our students had a blast showing off their robots and teaching younger generations about the joys of STEM!
Thank you to all the FRC teams that came out to celebrate Pride and our LGBTQIA+ community!
It was balmy 80-degree day but the heat didn’t stop our students from dancing, cheering, and waving their team flags high! Check out some of the awesome photos from the day below or on our Flickr page!
For the 2021-2022 season Fastenal sponsored FRC team #3218 Panther Robotics of Bonney Lake High School. This partnership came to be all because Chris Timpson, District Manager of Fastenal Pierce & South King County, is an alum of Bonney Lake High School.
Check out the team testimonial below!
How does Fastenal help your team be successful?
Fastenal has come through in a variety of ways for our team. They helped us get our bolts and fasteners setup in a more organized way by donating an organizational system. They also helped us with technical assistance. Our windmill climber had sheared off some bolts in our 1st contest, I reached out to Chris and asked if he could get us some stronger ones. He came through with the bolts, but also sent out one of their engineers Jonathan Kastner to run brief training on proper bolting practices and help us diagnose the issue.
We also hosted our 1st district event at Bonney Lake High School this year. Upon hearing about the event Chris was also able to reach out to other Fastenal employees to get us volunteers for the event. In which both him and Jonathan volunteered, as well as set up a Fastenal Information booth at the competition for other teams to visit and learn about Fastenal.
The Panther Robotics Team 3218 and I would like to thank Chris, Jon, and Fastenal for their generous gift of time, knowledge, and resources. I can undoubtedly say their support had a great impact our kids and programs success this year. We value each and every one of our supporters and truly appreciate your commitment to the students in our community.
Join Fastenal for the first annual BK 5K in Lacey on Saturday, August 13, 2022. Fastenal is initiating this charity race by pledging $30,000 as the launch point for this grant fund!
If you represent a community organization that would like to benefit from the fund, email Chris Timpson at ctimpson@fastenal.com for further details.
