In the SUPERPOWERED℠ challenge, FIRST LEGO League teams will explore where energy comes from and how it is distributed, stored, and used – and then put their superpowered creativity to work to innovate for a better energy future.
He has been involved with FIRST since 1999. Working with FRC Team 258 in California lFRC 360 and 2557 in Tacoma and currently FRC 5295 in Shelton. Past FTC Affiliate partner, Past warehouse manager at FIRST Washington, Eric was awarded the Woodie Flowers Award in 2016. He volunteers at all levels of FIRST both in the PNW as well as the World Championship.
Don’t forget to congratulate him on his recent retirement from teaching! We are so thankful to have him on board as our new Senior Mentor.
ESSER Funding Available for Public School Teams
Calling all public school FLL, FTC, and FRC teams!
We still have plenty of funds left in the Washington ARP Act for the 2022-2023 season. If you are a public-school team, you are eligible for funding. These funds can be used in a variety of ways, and we encourage everyone to apply as soon as you’re able.

Prepare for Health and Safety
Invest in Connectivity and Hardware
Leverage Local Expertise and Provide Training
How to Apply?
A district must apply through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction’s (OSPI) ESSER iGrants Form Package, FP 975, in order to receive an ESSER formula sub grant.
