Rapid React Coach Email Volume 1: 7-14-21 – Boeing Grants, Off Season Events & Next Season
Greetings Coaches!
If you are new to this email this is the place where you will find all of the Washington specific FIRST Robotics Competition information. Coaches in the FIRST system for the INFINITE RECHARGE season will be added once teams are able to register for events. Every email from me will be numbered and that number lets you know which update it is, if you miss an update you can find it on our website.
Here is what I have for you today:
- Boeing Grants are open
- Off Season Events & Next Season
Boeing Grants are open!
Teams with a Boeing Employee Coach or Mentor are eligible to apply for the Boeing grant. This grant closes on July 26th, 2021. This grant is applied for and administered through Boeing directly, not through FIRST Washington.
Off Season Events & Next Season
We have only had 42 teams fill out the survey below. If you haven’t completed the survey yet, please take just a few minutes to let us know what your plans are both for the off season and regular season.
I am excited to announce that we currently have 5 off season events scheduled for this fall! Because our hosts want to do their part to provide an experience that the majority of our teams would be able to participate in, we put together a short survey. It would be REALLY helpful to us if every team from 2019/20 & 2020/21 could take just a few minutes to fill out the survey letting us know if they would participate in an off season event and what your plans are for next season. The dates of the events are listed in the survey.
Here is the survey link, please fill it out by July 16: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/73ddb60570fe4ddc9716c71cef09be4a
Additionally, our hosts decided it would be helpful to charge the same fee for the off season events this year. The registration fee will be $250 per event (If you choose to participate with a second robot you will be charged an additional fee that is to be determined)
Stay cool in this heat everyone and have a fun & safe fourth of July!
