It’s hard to believe the 2022 PNW FRC season has come to an end.
Thank you to all the dedicated coaches, mentors, students, and volunteers who helped make the magic happen.
We spent the season constantly inspired by students who are not only resourceful innovators, but caring and thoughtful leaders. We are so excited to see the bright future they build for all of us!

Meet Our PNW Chairman’s Winners!
The Chairman’s Award is the most prestigious award at FIRST, it honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST. It was created to keep the central focus of FIRST Robotics Competition on the ultimate goal of transforming the culture in ways that will inspire greater levels of respect and honor for science and technology, as well as encouraging more of today’s youth to become science and technology leaders.

Team 4125 Confidential – Umatilla High School
Umatilla, OR
What does it mean to be CONFIDENTIAL? Team Confidential strives to improve the community by sparking interest in STEM and creating access to opportunities for students everywhere.
In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Team 4125 created new competitions and teams to support STEM growth for local students!
4125 is a role model for expanding FIRST opportunities in rural areas of the Pacific Northwest and how caring for your community can create better opportunities for all!

Team 2412 Robototes – Sammamish High School
Belleuve, WA
The Robototes mission is to provide all members with the opportunity to grow and learn as leaders, learners and innovators, all while growing interest in STEM in our community.
Team 2412 lobbied the federal government to provide STEM funding for students in Washington state and schools all over the country.
After hosting an off season event and a Week 3 FIRST Robotics Competition, the Robototes proved they knew just how to REACT in the face of adversity!

Title Sponsor Spotlight: The United States Air Force
Students attending the FRC District Championship got to meet with professionals to learn about STEM career opportunities in the US Air Force. They also got to partake in Operation: Shadow Strike!
Operation: Shadow Strike puts people in the middle of a high-stakes Air Force mission. Featuring a 3D film, movie theatre seats, sensory effects and 360-degree surround sound, this mobile tour was an immersive 4D experience that showed students what a day in the life of US Air Force personnel. It was also a great example of how technology can engage and educate.

FIRST Washington was honored to have Second Lieutenant Christyl A. Springs ring in our opening ceremony, highlighting the importance of STEM education for all students. Springs is the Gold Bar Diversity Recruiter 368th Recruiting Squadron, Hill AFB, Utah.
She is responsible for recruiting college
eligible individuals in the states of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon,
and Washington for the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at more than 1,100 colleges and universities across the United States and Puerto Rico.
