DESCRIPTION:The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) program is designed for students in grades 7-12 (ages 12-18). During the INTO THE DEEP season presented by RTX\, FIRST Tech Challenge teams will dive their robots into the depths of the ocean to explore the unknown and reveal its wonders. \nLeague competition consists of multiple rounds of robot matches\, with teams scoring points based on their robot’s performance in the challenge.  \nTeams will compete in –  \n\nLeague Meet 1\nLeague Met 2\nInterleague\nSemifinal\nWashington State Championship\n\nLeague events require these volunteer roles: Head Referee (1)\, Scoring Referees (2)\, Penalty Referees (2)\, Lead Scorekeeper (1)\, FTA (1)\, Field Resetter (2). There is no Judging component to League events. Judging begins at our Interleague competitions and continues through State Champs.  \nExperience: No STEM background is required to volunteer!\nVolunteer Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be provided.\nDress Code: Casual and comfortable! \n*Roles that require training will be shared in your volunteer account once you’ve been assigned to the required role. Assignments are made based on need and qualifications. All volunteers aged 18+ are required to submit and pass a free-of-charge background check (YPP) before they can volunteer.
