REMINDER: Registration is a two-step process. All teams are required to –

  1. Register with FIRST Inspires AND
  2. Register with FIRST Washington

If both registration forms are not complete, your team will not be eligible to compete in the 2026-2027 season.

1. FIRST Inspires Registration

FIRST Inspires is the international governing organization of FIRST Washington. You will complete registration with FIRST within your FIRST Inspires account.

FIRST LEGO League Challenge (Founders Edition):

Team Registration at firstinspires.org for FIRST LEGO League Challenge in the 2026/2027 season is $285 and includes:

        • Official FIRST LEGO League Challenge team number
        • Ability to purchase the BIOGLOW Founders Edition Challenge Set ($105) through the FIRST Dashboard
        • Digital ONLY access to the Team Meeting Guide, Robot Game Rulebook, and student Engineering Notebook.
        • Access to team roster to register coaches and participants
        • Ability to register for 1 FIRST LEGO League Challenge qualifying event (teams may advance to additional events)

Team Registration fee does not include shipping and handling, the Challenge Set, registration to FIRST LEGO League Challenge events, nor guarantees events are available in your area. Additional costs for event participation, travel, food, team shirts and other optional items will vary.

 

FIRST LEGO League Explore:

Team Registration at firstinspires.org for FIRST LEGO League Explore in the 2025/2026 season is $150 and includes:

  • Official FIRST LEGO League Explore team number
  • 1 BIOGLOW Explore Set
  • Digital ONLY access to the Team Meeting Guide, containing guidance, lesson plans, and clean up pointers.
  • Digital ONLY access to the student Engineering Notebook.
  • Access to team roster to register coaches and participants
  • Ability to register for 1 FIRST LEGO League Explore Festival

      Team Registration fee does not include shipping and handling, registration to FIRST LEGO League Explore Festivals, nor guarantees that remote or in-person Festivals are available in your area. Additional costs for event participation, travel, food, team shirts and other optional items will vary.

       

    FIRST LEGO League Future Edition:

    Team Registration at firstinspires.org for FIRST LEGO League Future Edition in the 2026/2027 season:

    Grades K-2: $250

    Grades 3-5: $285

    Grades 6-8: $285

    Team Registration at firstinspires.org for FIRST LEGO League Future Edition in the 2026/2027 season includes:

          • Official FIRST LEGO League team number
          • Ability to purchase the BIOGLOW Future Edition Annual Set(s) (K-2 $35, 3-8 $105) through the FIRST Dashboard
          • Digital Team Meeting Guide, Robot Game Rulebook, and student Engineering Notebooks
          • Access to the LEGO Education Teacher Portal with lesson slides, student-facing presentations, getting started materials, and teacher support. 
          • Access to team roster to register coaches and participants
          • Ability to register for 1 FIRST LEGO League Challenge qualifying event (teams may advance to additional events)
        • Additional cost- Computer Science and AI kits- K-2 $339.95, 3-5 $429 + Hardware bundle $189 each, 6-8 $529

    Team Registration fee does not include shipping and handling, the Annual Set, registration to FIRST LEGO League events, nor guarantees events are available in your area. Additional costs for event participation, travel, food, team shirts and other optional items will vary.

     

    2. FIRST Washington Registration

    • FIRST Washington runs the FIRST LEGO League Events in the state of Washington.
    • FIRST Washington charges additional fees of $50 for Explore, $350 for Challenge(Founders) and TBD for Future Edition
    • FIRST Washington fees are invoiced by FIRST Washington and paid directly to FIRST Washington

    All teams are required to fill out the FIRST Washington registration.

    FIRST Washington Events

    Once the FIRST Team registration and the FIRST Washington registration have been completed-

    • Teams will be emailed an invoice for the FIRST Washington registration fee
    • Once the FIRST Washington fee is secured, teams will be assigned and notified of their event.
