👋 About the Role
We’re seeking a strategic, creative Marketing and Communications Manager to elevate our statewide visibility. You’ll lead marketing campaigns, shape our brand presence, and create content that highlights the students, mentors, and communities at the heart of FIRST Washington.

✨ Key Responsibilities
Lead integrated marketing campaigns that support statewide engagement
Develop and manage content for web, email, social, newsletters, and print
Champion brand consistency and storytelling across platforms
Collaborate with leadership and community partners
Build a digital library of photo/video assets from WA events
Track metrics and optimize communications based on results

🧠 What You Bring
3+ years’ experience in marketing or communications
Strong writing and editing chops
Project management skills and a strategic eye
Passion for STEM, education, and community impact

We’re looking for an organized, people-oriented Volunteer Manager to lead recruitment, onboarding, and support for hundreds of inspiring individuals who power our programs and competitions.

✨ In This Role, You’ll:
📋 Recruit, train, and support a diverse network of statewide volunteers
🤝 Coordinate on-site and remote event operations (weekends, Nov–April)
🛠️Manage volunteer data and communications
🤝Collaborate with event leads and recognize amazing contributors

At FIRST Washington, we empower students across the state through hands-on robotics competitions and transformative STEM learning. We’re looking for an experienced Event Manager to help bring these powerful programs to life—on the field, behind the scenes, and across the community. 🤖✨

In This Role, You’ll:
📋 Coordinate logistics for FIRST® LEGO® League, Tech Challenge, and Robotics Competition events
🎯 Lead on-site execution and manage vendors, volunteers, and timelines
🤝 Support hundreds of students, mentors, and volunteers with poise and purpose
📍 Travel across WA (and occasionally OR) to scout and staff events
🛠️ Own key pieces of event planning, troubleshooting, and follow-up

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:
✔️ Have 3+ years of event planning or logistics experience (nonprofit or youth-focused is a plus)
✔️ Excel under pressure and love keeping moving pieces organized
✔️ Can work evenings/weekends during the November–April competition season ✔️ Are a calm, collaborative communicator with a heart for STEM and youth empowerment

💰 Salary: $70,000–$75,000

🚗 Must have valid driver’s license and be WA-based
