Event Registration is for FLL Challenge Open!

*FLL Explore Registration coming soon, by 10/2

That’s right, it is finally open! I appreciate everyone’s patience.

Teams will be asked to select three event preferences. Please do not select the same event for all 3, unless it is the only event in driving distance.

Teams will be confirmed in their events once they have-

  1. Registered their team with firstinspires.org
  2. Registered their team with firstwa.org
  3. Secured their FIRST Washington invoice (by credit card, check or P.O.) Invoices will be sent out in October

I will post Assignments in November on firstwa.org, not on your dashboard.

OSPI Grant Closes this Friday, September 29th!

If you are a Public or Tribal Compact School, make sure you submit your OSPI grant by 5:00pm on Friday, 9/29! 

 

Two Registrations Close on September 30th!

FIRST Washington Registration

The FIRST Washington registration will close on September 30th, as well as the FIRST Washington grant! If you have not filled this out, do it now! All Explore and Challenge teams are required to submit to participate

FIRST Team Registration

For FLL Challenge teams- Team registration with FIRST Inspires will close September 30th! Make sure your team is registered! (If you are waiting on funding from OSPI, email me 🙂 )

My apologies for those that have been looking for event registration! I am still waiting on one last venue! 

Make sure you have filled out the FIRST Washington registration while you are waiting- both registrations will be at the same link!

They will close September 29th!

If you are a Washington State Public or Tribal Compact School, and have either active FLL Challenge teams or are registering or starting FLL Challenge teams-

Make sure you apply by SEPTEMBER 29TH!

I know you are all patiently waiting for the event registration to open! I am hopeful that it will be open by the end of the week! 

My goal for this season was to have one FIRST Washington registration for FLL that included event registration, but that was not able to happen this season. Fingers crossed for next season! 

Event registration will be found on the same page as the FIRST Washington registration.

Alright, we are switching to Blog form for FLL Challenge and FLL Explore!

From now on you will get your info from the Blog instead of the coach blasts! The coach blast will be to notify you of a new Blog post and what it contains.

Hopefully this format works well! I am also going to try and consistantly post on Tuesdays so you know what day to check!

*If you have team photos  (at competitions or working in meetings) and would like to see your teams photos in the Blog (make sure you have parents permission!), you can email them to info@firstwa.org

This is not a typical coaches meeting, the only people that should attend this meeting are the lead/alternate coaches or school faculty that fills out the Washington State OSPI grant.

What’s different? FIRST Washington is in the process of becoming the administrator of the OSPI grant and funds

Who can apply? Any public or tribal compact school in Washington State can apply

Why should you apply? It will give you access to funding to support your team!

When does the grant open? Our plan is to open the grant on Sept 15 and close the grant on Sept 29-however stay tuned for any updates.

Does it matter which program I am interested in? If you coach or are interested in coaching an FLL Challenge, FTC or FRC team FROM a Washington State Public or Tribal Compact School, then you want to attend this meeting! We will be talking to coaches at all levels for the first part of the meeting and then will break into rooms to answer questions that are more specific to an individual program.
